Therefore, alternate Non-conventional energy systems such as Natural Gas have been introduced for the Production of Power, leading to a safer and cleaner atmosphere.

Natural gas is commercially produced from oil fields and natural gas fields. Natural gas is often described as the cleanest fossil fuel, producing less carbon dioxide per joule delivered than either in coal or oil. In addition, natural gas itself is a greenhouse gas far more potent that carbon dioxide when released into the atmosphere. Normally, when drilled this gas is directly released into the Atmosphere. At Soundararaja, this gas has been utilized to produce power. The Gas is brought through a special High-Tech pipeline from the refinary directly to our site at Nedungadu, Pondicherry. This Gas is then passed through High Performance CAT – Caterpiller engines which convert it into electrical energy. The exhaust air let out into the atmosphere is 60% cleaner than a regular Petrol/Diesel engine. We are working towards expanding this sector which will eventually bring down our costs as well as help in protecting the environment.
